I wanted K.R.I.T. to win, and I knew that if people could see his songs come alive in a real studio, with a real band, than they’d be hooked, just like I was. Seconds after Shipes said yes I was begging the best R&B band I knew, Grillade, to volunteer their time to help K.R.I.T. and yours truly see this dream become reality.
